Over 50 years ago, GeneralCable
New Zealand Limited commenced manufacture of electrical energy cables
on the Riccarton site in Christchurch, New Zealand.
From a humble beginning in low voltage electrical cable, we now manufacture
the most comprehensive range of both energy and communications cables
conceivable. Those cables are marketed not only in New Zealand but
also throughout Australia, the Pacific Islands and many other countries
of the world. Among our many accreditations, we include IS09001, arguably
the supreme quality qualification, UL approvals and a laboratory of
international standard.
With this background we are able to offer the broadest possible product
range and to concentrate on providing a customer service that is leading
edge in terms of its fast response and ability to manufacture
for other than standard or normal requirements. The recent formation
of GeneralCable globally has added
to our strengths giving us access to modern cablemaking technology,
sophisticated testing facilities and an even wider range of product.
